New Year's Resolutions

First things first... happy belated New Year! I hope your 2012 is off to a good start. Mine has already been a roller coaster of change. I don't know about you but every year I make some New Year's resolutions and predictions. This last week I decided to get started and make some changes...

Resolution 1- Cut my hair!
This was one of my resolutions last year, but I never quite found the guts to make the big chop. 2012, though, is all about the short hair- don't care!!

Before

After! you like??

Resolution 2- Travel alone.
I always admired my friends that would just pick and go whether they had a travel companion or not. I think this is a true indicator of self-assuredness, so to test my courage and also to do a little soul searching I took a solo trip to Paris this past weekend.

Here are some pictures from my trip!

I was told it is good luck to kiss in fornt of the Eiffel Tower....maybe?

After the initial shock wore off, I found it liberating and quite romantic to roam the streets of such a beautiful city just meeting different people along the way. It seems now that no experience is ever unshared. You always have yourself and the potential to meet new interesting people. Best lesson learned  on this trip is just to calm down and go with the flow, and have a good time. There is a soft spot in my heart for Paris. Til next time xx!

A few more of my New Year's resolutions

1. Cut my hair
2. Travel Alone
3. Start running again (so out of shape!)
4. Visit 10 new countries
5. Take up a new hobby (maybe dance lessons)
6. Learn a language... French? ;-)

Istanbul

Hello  again. I hope the Holidays are going well so far, and that maybe Santa brought just what you were asking for. I am now coming down from the high of my vacation to Istanbul, which is where I spent Christmas! To say that Turkey was anything less than life changing would be an understatement. The food, the scenery, the people are all amazing. It is so hard to put it into words so here are a few pictures from the trip...hopefully this will explain a little better.

I was so sad to leave Turkey, and even now I am plotting my trip back! For now its all love from London.
See you in 2012!!
